Are the Festiva struts identical to any other car besides the Aspire? Like maybe a 323 or something more popular.

Does anyone here have the Ground Control coil/overs on KYB GR2's on a Stock Festiva? What car did you tell them how did you know what top order? Possible Part #'s

    Thanks for your time.

festiva and aspire struts are not identical, they are different lengths, but you can bolt them on either car.

the 323 shocks fit right in... no problems...the brake hose line doesnt fit into the holder it has on the shock but who really cares mines just hanging loose...

and yah their amazing.. when your cornering and u mean business.. the 323 shocks just are the cherry on the iceing compared to the gr2's... .

So if I were to order Coilovers for a 323 they should fit? Do you happen to know what year they were talking of. I remember seeing that post as well but I am so brain fried doing research on what wil/ will not fit that I wouldn't begin to remember where I saw that post.
        Thanks

From what I've seen at junkyards these would be the early 323s (pre-'90). Also, the old Tracers should be the same as the older 323s. They would have the two bolt upper mount. I think later 323s have three or four top bolts, IIRC.

The springs are wider on these, so I never thought they would fit. However, maybe the whole strut will transfer? Or maybe they have to go coilover with smaller diameter springs? Don't know.

Now I'm thinking of pulling some older 323 or Tracer front struts...

Are you suggesting stock 323 shocks or high performance?
and does anyone know about the Scirocco shocks that the 'Festarossa' is using? (love that 'nick)

well im thinking this way, even a stock 323 front strut should be valved tighter then a stock festiva front strut, now go to a 323 kyb gr2, this would

#1 fit the festiva according to some people. (now we are talking like up to 89-90 323 at the newest.)

and #2 should be alot stiffer then a festiva GR2 strut.
and this setup would work great using higher rate springs.

Now on the rears with coilovers i have also seen people using VW A1 upgraded struts since they are eyelet bottom, threaded up just like the festiva.
so we are talking rabbit scirocco stuff, those guys have had very good luck with boge turbo gas and they are cheap too.

                    am i making sense here?
