  • Got new wheels and tires!!!

    Hey guys,
I picked up new wheels and tires along with the studs to mount them. I just have the fronts on right now, but I have to say they look pretty good on there. I also painted the front bumper and put new clear signals in there as well.

Are studs just a piece of threaded rod or do they have more to them than that? When you stud the hubs do you just screw them in or do you have them pressed in?

The reason I'm asking is that a guy at work was saying he had to have some pressed in. (?) I don't think he knew what he was talking about since he thinks that the newer Nissans 350z come with the L28 motors.

Unicornasaurus: konig makes them, but another company markets them.
FestYboy: The wheels are 14x6's with a 35mm offset
anomoly40: http://www.gorilla-auto.com/products...=249&sfID2=256 for our applications the screw in studs work better. They have press in studs as well, but screw in is what we need.
gottafesty: Thanks:-) I will get more pictures up when I get the rears on as well.

Hhehehe one would hope:-) I have some things I need to finish up as well on mine, but would love to make it out there with you and av8ter. I got the rear bumper on that sucker preped and one coat on last night, and I am finishing up the brackets for the Prelude seats. Besides that just a few odds and ends. O2 sensor, battery and box, mass air meter.
                That's about it though.

Screw-ins are ok kinda a pain though
you can do press ins your self sometimes depending on the car with a little heat and large hammer

How are they a pain? If you use loctite, you're in the money. I haven't heard of anyone having problems with theirs. Press in studs are a much bigger pain, and would involve separating the hub from the spindle to install them due to clearance issues.
