  • help finding perfect wheel size

ok i know i was lookng for some rims before and i still am, i plan on just buying new but i want to get the PERFECT rims for my application, i plan on drag racing the car so i want some good wide wheels up front so what whould be the ideal ofset? this car is a weekend driver i dont care if the wheels will run when i turn i will swap the front and backs when i get to the track, so i guess i want maybe 2 offsets one for the front (wider) the rear can be the oem off set which is......?? now what size rim im thinking 14's can i squeeze a 15 with a drag radial? bolt pattern will be 4x100 which i will be running the aspire swap so i think its 4x100. i can not find a big selection on ebay i put 4x100 and 14inch and i get 9 options where can i find a bigger selection?

    Thanks
    Everyone

Try searching just 14", then worry about bolt patterns.

I have some pretty cool 15" Riken mesh wheels (4x100). They need to be cleaned but they are in good shape. Will need lower profile tires for a Festiva. Let me know if you are interested.

Please read the first post, he wants to buy brand new and is looking to know what offset would be best

        1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
        1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I did. I wasn't trying to push anyone into buying them. Just thought I would offer since he wasn't sure about 14's or 15's.
But to answer the "best offset" question you need to know the wheel width. The stock offset on a "wider" (?) wheel may have too much backspacing and could rub on the strut housing. I guess what I'm trying to say is first figure out what wheel width you want to use and then figure out what offset works for the car. Good luck.

What wheels are those in the background with the gold centers?? Rota RB's or panasport wannabees? Just use a civic VX forged 13" rim and some nice slicks or autocross tires, since your gonna be using it for drag racing

The gold ones are Minilite copies by Enkei. 14x6.5 zero offset 4x114.3 I have several with that bolt pattern but with RWD offsets since they are for my 74 Celica GT.

well thanks for the info so far but i was going to try and stay away from the 13s i think a 14 would fit better and more tire options being that miata's also are 14 i could be wrong.... im still searching there is not much out there if a 15 would fit i would have more options.

Ricky, I had the 15s on mine and my biggest consern as that your car is beautiful and done painted. the 15s will crash, hell the wrong 14s will crash. If you are going drag racing just buy a 13x8 and a 22 inch drag slick for the front. i have seen them for the Hondas and can help you find a set Drivers Image has a set in house and may let you see if the will clear befor purchasing. Oh yeah Ill take those Konigs off ya. I would like to own them for the third time lol
