aspire/rio knuckle comparison

    more evidence that the rio might substitute for hard to find aspire pieces. the hub on the left is from the 01 rio and the hub on the right is OEM aspire. absolutely identical. 24 spline/same bolt circle/lug bolt thread.

      same with the splash guards. rio on right (a little beat up) and OEM aspire on left.

          Ok so I see different hubs, and different caliper pics, but yet they are both labeled 3310, is that just a section to look at for the brake diagram or are both calipers the same?

            ok upon further investigation online they are not the same calipers and that 3310 must mean something else...

              3310 is the basic part#, it just represents "front brake caliper". There are other 'engineering' numbers that go along with the basic# to make a complete part#.

                That lump might be the turning "stop". If it is, see what it stops against and make that comparison
                as well. That "lump" may not need to be removed at all. Back in the day we did a little trick to decrease
                the turning circle on the Fiero. The "stop" on the a arm was real easy to reduce, that what we "removed".

                  only problem with that solution on the fiero is if you run larger rims, you wind up scraping them on the lower control arm (aweful noise)
                  Trees aren't kind to me...

                    For those who are still asking questions about the Rio stuff. The (01-02) Rio front brakes are the same as the Aspire ATX. Is the Rio independent rear suspension or the swing arm beam type that we have?
