    Springs wont be captive if you chop them that much though ? When u raise the car on a hoist, the springs would be flopping around? Right? This sounds very dodgy to me.

      i dont see why not, its been done where i work at Kost.
      blue flake 89L shaved hatch, Lowered, BP swap in progress, bobtail bumper, 5spd tranny, acura 5 spoke 15" wheels and fiberglass dash

          I put my Festiva on air a few years ago... It laid about an inch off the ground when it was down the whole way.

            yeah you dont have to do an alignment yourself . . . same with doing the aspire swap you will want to get it aligned. if you live a good distance from the shop you might want to consider trailering . . . remember your cars out of alignment when you take it there so is you drive you put extra wear on your tires.

                i took the springs OFF my car... it rode rough.. but looked pretty cool..
                had the springs off for bout 1000 miles.. "on city roads"
                but 1 trip on the hwy."200" miles.. the front inside started to wear...

                  in the process of putting airbags on my car.. my plan is only gonna run me
