question about coilovers

Good evening ff.com,

I am wondering if you can use coil-over struts from a mk1 golf? couldn't find anything on the site,

Are the spring purges too low on the strut so they rub on the wheels?

in Europe finding the coil-over sleeves isn't very easy, and paying 2-3 times as much for shipping and taxes as paying for the product isn't something i want to do....

Look for the advanced suspension thread on here. He uses MK2-3 fronts and Mk1 rears. Awesome suspension when its setup.
