redline tires

I have always wanted redline tires. However, I do not like their price.
Each individual tire would cost almost as much as I paid for my entire Festiva on eBay!
$pecial order.
The same size tires I have on my Festiva right now.
I have red stiched black leather seats, red stiched black door panels, red stiched black leather shift knob and a red hockey stick swoosh body stripe.
Red is the direct complement of green.
Do you think four tires are worth $1000?
I will think about it over the winter.
All opinions welcome.

price isn't the problem. tires only rated for max 118MPH.

You can use normal tires and Portawalls if you grind the lettering off so the portawall lays fully flat. I would suggest coating the portawalls with SEM dye to seal the rubber, the ones I used on my '64 VW dry rotted quickly and came apart at about 92 mph. https://portawallshop.com/

I was going to suggest a 1/2 pint can of Tremclad red, an artist's fine paintbrush, and a steady hand.

Diamondback Radials are really nice though. They use a modern radial tire, smooth the sidewalls, then vulcanize whatever size and color ring you want onto the tires. There's a butyl rubber backing so oils from the sidewall rubber can't bleed through and discolor the rings. They can also do custom stamped logos in the sidewall. I have a set for my '63 VW.
