Is it worth converting the front hubs & knuckles?

Hey all,
we are building( more like band- aid) a festy for racing in 24 hrs lemons. Doing some research in the Haynes manual and on this site how much of a PITA is it to change the front rotors? We have mechanical skills but we need a machine shop for the hubs? That's a new one for me. Since we will be wanting to change and eating up brakes a bit I want to ease our maintenance so is it worth it to convert to the aspire/Rio hubs so we can just change the disc's when we need to?

Yes, you'll want the aspire/rio vented rotors anyway, and 4x100 will get you more wheel options. Look into Team Dynamics 15x7, +25ish offset if you don't already have wheels.

ok I appreciate that. we don't have wheels yet. is there a guide on this site? I"m having a hard time finding one, Either I'm retarded or not using the right search criteria

So we lucked out today and found a rio and aspire in our local yard. The Rio had the knuckles already plucked but the aspire was pretty much untouched. We figured it was easier and we might be able to use the entire rear sway from the aspire so we just pulled the whole thing. If not, we will swap the hubs over and sell what's left. Had a source a socket for the front axle from a nearby transmission shop to pull the fronts but we got what we wanted in about 2 hours. Not too shabby.
