  • Azenis?

    I need more grip.

I want to run the smallest RT-615, which is the 195/60/14...

So far, all I've found on the fitting of these tires is the Lemons car.

Does anyone know a wheel that would fit the Festiva with these tires on it???
    4x100 or 4x114.3, it doesn't really matter.

    S4 base model RX7?
    Miata daisy's?
    GT/GTX?

14x5 rims should work depending on backspacing & offset.

The BF chassis gtx/gt would be fine if you wanna keep the 4x114.3
Miata, civic, escort, BG 323, mx-3,& protege's all have 4x100

try 185/55r14's, a lot better.. you can buy them at www.onlinetires.com . They have Federal tires w/ 240 threadwear and Nexen tires w/ 340 theadwear<<this is the one i bought. Federal tires SS595 is way too soft for my taste.

Yes, I am partial to the Azenis. They're a really good tire for the price, and I've been through many sets over the past year. I just need to adapt them to my Festiva.

I'm just wondering what wheel I'd need in order to fit the rubber on my car... Any junkyard available wheels?

Or better yet, what offset would fit the 195/60/14's in the fenders and not rub the shock? I figure Diamond racing wheels are also an option, but I'd need an exact offset to convert to backspacing...

            wheels

The Miata Daisys will take that tire just fine, they have an offset of 45 I would expect that a wheel with the more common 38 offset would also be fine as long as it was 5.5 inches wide or better yet 6 inches like the 94 and later Miata wheels are. That tire on a 5 incher would be pushing it.
The Anzes is a great sticky tire, not the greatest for all season use, since it is primarily an autocross tire ie not good in the wet or cold. Also note that this tire is going to only last for about 10k miles. Of course that will be a very fun 10k miles.

All season tires for Southern California are summer tires. Hahahaha. jk

I have not had a set of Azenis last more than 3,000 miles. But they're cheap and easier to rotate than directional tread patterns. Come to think of it, I rarely get more than 5,000 miles out of ANY tire... lol

I didn't know Phantom grip's fit in the F-series transmission... That's awesome. Who runs Phantom grip? Is there still torque steer from the unequal length axles??

Does anyone know the offset of the S4 RX7 "phone dial" 14-inch wheels?

Also, recent information concerning brake setups might keep me to 4x114.3 hubs...

So 14x5 or 14x5.5 should fit with a +38mm offset??

Thanks for all the help guys.

                        aren't the 2nd gen rx7's 5 lug rims??

Phantom grip just preloads the differential. Its not a locked or welded diff by any means. Just a slightly improved stock diff.

No. S4 Base models came with the "phone dial" wheels in 4x114.3.

They're 14x6 with a +40mm offset. They need to be 14x5.5 in order to fit with anything but a +38mm offset though, right???

Could I get away with some wheel spacers to pull the wheel/tire away from the rear shock, or are 14x6's just way too wide?
