Anyone have any info on brembo caliper swaps??

Not sure of our exact kind of caliipers... Looked and didn't see anything about aftermarket swaps... only to other kinds of cars etc. Anyone know anything about this?

    More info:

Checked the brembo site... festiva comes up with one, aspire doesn't. however, i thought i read that kia rio 1st gen are the same brake sizes... found 25348 as a number for them.

i was thinking of getting a "big brake kit" with the same bolt pattern as the escort and then convert the rear to disk to and if i can get it street legal then i would like to do ajustable f/r distribution with dual master cylinders (small ones, not like the massive one on the fire wall) that is what ill be trying to do on my festiva

the escort gt has the same bolt pattern as the aspire but the egt has rear diskbrakes so im suing the rear spindels like some one on hear did and then going to get bigger and better brakes.

this is what im doing if its possable

aspir swap with fms aspire rotors
egt rear swap with corksport sloted rotors
dual master cylinders wit f/r adj
            all braided stainless steel lines
good brake pads (fms and corksport)
            dot5 fulid

this just what im planning... i dont know if it is possable, ill see when i start to build it. dont worry ill take lots of pick when i do...

try making some of those brackets that guy made up (cant remember who) i think they where just 1/4 inch steel or bigger. they looked simple to build and i have been waiting for some one to make some and tell everyone if it works good, and maby get a machine shop to cut a bunch out on a flow jet and then sell them, im shure that lots of people would buy them. including me

Thanks for your reply. Is there a chance that you guys might start manufacturing brake kits for the Aspire? There's a lot of people that like to mod this car even though it's older. http://fordaspire.com and http://fordfestiva.com for example, have thousands of members and those sites are dedicated to the Aspire and Festiva. I know you can get Brembo rotors for our cars, so I was just curious if there would be a chance at swapping out the whole brake system. A brake kit wouldn't be a problem if that's what I'd need to do the swap... I'd just like to know if you guys might start making one? Is there a department that you can send requests to for new car production?

                            Johnathon Raggett,

Unfortunately Brembo does not just make calipers by them selves. It is a complete braking package called a Gran Turismo kit which includes larger rotors calipers brake lines and mounting hardware. It is impossible to change the size or type of caliper with out changing the disc setup. I am sorry but we do not have a Gran Turismo kit for your car. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
                            Thank you
