  • 15'' rims on a festiva

has anyone put 15'' rims on a festiva if so how many modifications were made??
    Later!

i only had to use 1/4inch spacers to get mine on

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I also have KYB GR-2 front & rear strut and FMS coil spring drop 35 mm. I did not have any problems or rubbing.

Ok so I got a couple sets of those spring boosters but with the fms springs I couldn't get them in between 2 coils, so I just skipped a coil and I no longer have rubbing with my 15s and 195/45 tires. not to mention it stiffined up the rear end lots too...
90 festiva BP/G25MR swap, spec v seats, aspire brakes, FMS springs, round headlight conversion with HID's, custom exhaust, fiberglass hood, and a whole lotta bodywork

Maxtiva, do you have the Aspire conversion or is it the stock Festy setup?
If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

Sasquatch, I've got a question right back at you. From what you've read on here which seems to be the first to rub, the tire on the fender or on the spring? And where are all these guys finding the fat little 13" wheels? Good luck with the 205's the should look proper chunky if you can stuff them on there.

                        Cheers,

Rear springs hit first. I have bought Sumitomo HTR tires in 185/60/13 from Tire Rack, Nexen from tires-easy.com. The Falkens look like they may be gone for good. Burgess over on th FML Yahoo group and I are talking about trying a Federal tire that is getting good reviews as an option too. These choices will keep your speedo accurate. For me, the only drawback the Sumitomo or Falkens has been I can shred a set every summer, and do! Guess thats what you get for not being able to keep your foot out of it though. Running the slalom every day takes its toll on any tire I have had though, I can go through 70,000 mile Michelins in 20,000 miles.

I've got 15's on mine, lowered with FMS springs and I don't rub... Running 195/45's and the wheels are a 15x6.5 with a 38+ offset.
