sway bar
Another upgrade for the sway bar, without actually changing the bar, is to change the rubber bushings to a harder material.

axles poppin out
this has happened to me, i have aspire brakes, but festiva control arms and sway bar with extremely hard rubber endlinks. eventually just hit the end with a hammer enough to get her to pop back in and after doing that a few times she never came back out...
are there any differences between aspire and festiva axles?
also not meaning to hijack the thread but nothing bad happens over long term by using aspire brakes and festy control arms right? i thought i read somewhere it would wear your balljoints down or something, just wondering!1992 Festiva... Festiva is already prone to understeer, thus getting a larger front bar will only worsen the problem.
A bigger front bar will NOT improve your handling unless you want massive understeer.
Stiffening the rear of the car via a strut tower bar or the aspire brake swap (with the reinforced rear live axle) helps a helluva lot.
If your front bar isn't working like it should, you probably just need to get some new bushings. THis was covered on the Ezboard, People were getting energy suspension chassis-mount bushings which help a LOT & are cheap and easy to get tooWil

new bushings
the end link bushings are ok to replace with something else , but i had problems with the bar bushings from energy suspension, since they are slotted, when you drive hard or accelerate hard, the mounts can move and throw alignment off ALOT... i have a pic to show...
if you look closely you can even see where the slots were being rubbed by the nuts... and yes i had them tightened HARD... i switched back to the regulars just w/ new bushings and everything was much better...1992 Festiva... Fred and a few others also have had problems with their shitty designed brackets so reuse the Festiva ones if you are going to put in those energy suspension bushings. -KyleCosmic Blue 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 - Mostly Stock...
