  • more wheel talk

Okay, I'm new here and don't know if I'm going right off the deep end right away but... has anyone ever put a set of 17" wheels on one of these little beasties? Also, what's the thickest spacer you can put behind a wheel without causing too much stress on things? For all of you veterans of this site, feel free to put me in my place on this topic, I'm just trying to get my head around what I can and can't do and the order to do it in.

Oh yeah, is the bolt pattern on the festiva the same as a ford focus? And, do the brakes off an aspire swap straight across with the festiva or is there some goofing around required?

Thanks for your patience with the obvious questions here. Whenever I'm planning a project I always start off with the huge ideas and then common sense and budget wittles me down to reality.

    Cheers,

    Toby

Very cool, I wonder what kind of rubbing issues he had. I also wonder what kind of ground clearnace he ended up with. It diesn't look to me like he dropped it too far, unless he modded the fenders too. These cars are getting under my skin. I can feel it coming on like a disease. In todays urban environs they rock. I have already parked mine in a few laughably small spots and walked away with a huge grin on my face. Parking in downtown Vancouver is near impossible so this car has increased the odds in my favour.

Brian, was this website your brainchild? If so, good on ya, it's a doozy.

I'm going to assume that the bolt pattern for the focus matches as I was told by a local tire /wheel dealer? Sound correct to you?

      Cheers,

No I can't take credit for the website. It was started by a man named Rich Norman (late 90's), then a man named Dj Hayek owned it till he passed away last April. Now I am carrying on with what they started.
