  • 13's or 14's?

Im going back and forth trying to decide what size wheels to get.

Wheels and tires are the last thing I need before tearing apart our daily driver Festy for the Aspire brake/sway bar swap.

I want it to handle decently. I havent picked up new springs and struts yet, but probably will in the near future.

So Im torn.... Right now the plan is to just get some Stock junk yard steel wheels (unless I find a cheap set of alloys) I've found that I can easily get some Escort 14x5/5.5's or some civic 13x5's.

I'm even half tempted to go with 15's but dont want to spend big $$ on tires.... and it seems like tire prices are directly related to wheel diameter....

I really wish I would have went with 15s when I bought my rims. You have to go with 195/45-14 to keep the speedo close and I have only found one tire in that size from Toyo. Go up to the 15" and you go from one choice to 9 through discounttiredirect.

Yeah but that one tire kicks butt.

Also the 195/45r15 are 1 inch larger in diameter. Thats almost 5% larger. @ 60 thats 3mph

I guess Im just concerned with how itll wear. Seems like its a softer rubber. I could be wrong you guys that have them let me know. You seem happy with it but how do you feel about overall quality of it? Do they seem to be wearing quickly or not?
