  • Solution *cheap* front strut bar.

I was gonna make some sets but....some of the other fabricators couldprobably do a better job than me. I cut the mounting bracket down the middle and shaved some of the excess metall off. A better option would be to make a new base plate out of steel and re-weld it to where the adjustable bar meets the baseplate bracket. I'm gonna finish mine out and get some nice spacers to take care of the gap betwween the two sides of the bracket. They are bent alittle to just get the bolts in for pictures.

The application for the strut bar is the front off of a 89-94 eclipse. I have the rear bar too, wanting to do something for the back. Let me know what yu think. 35 dollars and a little fab time.

That the space issue with the bar somewhat installed maybe 1.25" inch of clearance.

That looks really great. But I am having trouble sorting out what you mean above. Is this an aftermarket strut bar from an eclispe? Or is it some stock part on the front end of an eclipse that you have adapted? Or did the eclipse have a stock strut tower bar?

This is a aftermarket strut bar for the 89-94 eclipse model. I used all parts from the bar, just modified it a little to fit. I have some pictures of the spacers installed with longer bolts. I'll post them up tommorrow.
