  • Cracked steel wheels

Saw a this video on U-Toob http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=ut3Nq2Kdxj8 where a guy is showing the cracks in his OEM steelies. I did a search but didn't find anything specific. Anybody have the same experience? What's causing it? The video didn't say much.
I'm going to check my wheels in the morning.

I would bet that he was doing things with the car that he shouldn't have been doing. I find it hard to believe they would crack under normal conditions.
NOTE: I'm on a computer with no sound card, so I did not hear the audio.

I'd say it's the same car in both vids. People like that don't deserve to own a Festiva. If that's the same guy driving it like he stole it then whining cuz the wheels cracked he's dang lucky he didn't wreck it. Stupid jerk!!

I can only hope when the inevitable happens the car is in tact and I can hose his remains out of the car and drive away.:evil2:

Thats a bit of an oxymoron isnt it? I mean if you have to hose his remains out of the car chances are pretty darn good that it isnt intact.
On a brighter note though. IF you did have to hose his remains out of the car that would mean theres one less moron polluting the gene pool!

I'm going to check my wheels in the morning.
The wheels crack in the same place every time (I'm up to four cracked wheels now). They crack on the ears of the hub. It's from the heat that the solid rotors produce, stopping the car from 75 downhill, when it's cooler at night.

On a side note, my most recent cracked wheel was in normal driving (like normal old people driving, trying to save gas and slow). Just driving down the street, and all of a sudden it started to vibrate violently.
