  • aspire swap

so i found an aspire in the j/y today, and am going to get the suspension and breaks. i was just wondering what a good price to pay for all of it is?

the owner said he give me anything under the car for $200 and will even take it all off for me. let me know if you think it is a good price.

200 is a good deal, as long as its not all rusted piles of junk. ive put in about 200 just in the fronts.

i paid 50 a hub and 100 for the axle beam, sway bar was like 10 so thats a good deal but i ended up replacing pretty much everything new rotor, bearigns front and back, calipers, pads, grab the master cylinder to and maybe the brake booster i think someone said the asprie has a better booster, i probably got over 1k in my suspension swap i bought all new shocks coil overs and ss braided lines

i paid $200 for my first aspire swap

        1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
        1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

good to kno, i'll see if he'll throw that in too. im sure he'll be happy to get rid of all of it.
the rest of the car is pretty much striped down to nothing, so this will probly be the last of it any way.

I payed $50 for my aspire swap (thanks matt!)... then i replaced the calipers, pads, rear shoes, and rotors. later I picked up a front sway bar for a couple bucks, that was deff worth it too.

Skeeters , so you would recommend using the Aspire , sway bar , I think I will just because it will be different from what I know the stock one will do!!!!

yep... use the aspire swaybar. I love it. Some folks (myself included) have had some minor clearance issues with the front trany mount when using the aspire bar, but i just "forced" it on, its been fine.
