      here are the specs from the tire size calculator (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html)
      165/70/12 stock is 21.1 inches in diameter, new wheel/tire combo is 22.6 inches, and increase of 1.5 inches in overall tire diameter. Reading is 7.4% too slow. anybody know how to adjust the speedometer to compensate?

        (speedometer speed) @55 mph=59.07 mph (real speed)
        @65=69.81
        @70=75.18

        Formula should be: Speedometer x 1.074= actual speed

        Not responsible for your tickets if I'm wrong. I admit, I partied aaalllllllloooooottttttt during my years on this planet!!!

          here's a tire calculator, you put in the make/model and what tire size you're running and it'll tell you how much your speedo is out

          1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
          2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

          1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

          If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
