  • Happy Anniversary to me

Okay, so they're not really my anniversary present...but close enough.
Primax 333 wheels, 13X5.5 38mm offset, dual drilled 4X100 4X114.3, so there are no worries if I later decide to do an aspire swap. 175/70R13 toyo spectrum tires, nitrogen inflated.

I'll post pics later of them installed...they sent my lugnuts instead of lugbolts as I instructed...grrrr.

well, they are on..a few issues:
The driver's side rear is VERY close to the strut, it rubs, but the passenger side allows me to fit my fingers between the two.

The Front drivers side caught the lip of the fender when I backed out, although, my drive is very steep, and has a bump at the end.

The oem wheel bolts keep loosening after about a block...I'm gonna get studs, should I get hubcentric rings as well?

I guess I will get 1/4 inch spacers for the rear...I know aspire struts would remedy the problem as well, but would it raise the rear of the car in doing so?

Here she is, looks like a different car, overall I am very happy.

            Looks good!!
Deff recommend getting wheel studs for alloys. I haven't had a problem with the stock lug bolts on the miata alloys yet, but I plan on switching to studs asap.

For the rear, If you do the aspire brake swap the drums are about 1/8" or so thicker, and you will clear the strut then. If you use aspire rear struts you will raise the rear of the car; I'd rather just do the brake swap.
For the front, I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets too bad. If it does, roll the fender lips a hair.

Thanks Nate, I am gonna get studs ASAP. What sucks is, I just did the brakes with stock parts...a lot of money in them at the moment. I did this before I knew about the aspire swap :banghead: No biggie though, guess I'll just go with spacers for the moment, although an alignment may remedy this issue, we'll see. I'm just happy that the Mater looks purdy!

Look real good. Definately want to make sure you go to studs. Until then make sure you have them torqued to spec.

Thanks Monsoon, yeah I've torqued the wee out of them for the moment, car handles like a go kart now. I got spacers yesterday, but struck out locally with studs, everyone just stared at me when I told them I needed screw in studs. Got told by a few that they didn't exist...umm, yeah. Guess I'll get them from Summit...just trying to figure out the length that I need at the moment. Once again, thanks for all the comments.

The nitrogen does not expand/contract (at least not much) with temperature changes, thereby giving you a more true tire pressure across the board. The service was "free" with my package...some local shops do it, but I don't know if/what they charge for it. It also helps keep moisture out of the tires, since most shops don't run filter/driers like they are supposed to.
