  • imclimate weather tires

Had some goodyears with good thread but one of the four in the set had a belt slip and I dont trust them for hwy use anymore. Today I made some foul weather tires out of a couple of the good ones for my car Jessie should the need arise to shame a few 4x4 SUVS.

YES!!! Chains FTW!!!!!! I want a set of chains! How easy are they to put on? Post back with your results once you try them out in some serious snow.

They were actually kind of a PITA. Glad I did it in advance. I had to use some bolt cutters to shorten them some but they are on there snug. Should be great on ice. I was thinking about making a little side $ with the new snow thrower. So thought Id hook a little trailer to Jesse and haul it around if the need arises. Just local stuff to help offset the snowthrower cost. Course it probably wont snow now.

^ I thought about putting them on my snowthrower but figured the snow thrower wheels wont have much snow to go through after the auger clears the way. Plus the tires have heavy knobs anyway and I would have had to waste a lot of the chains to adapt them to the snow thrower.

I have a set of cable chains that I throw on when the white stuff gets really deep. You can get through just about anything. You just can't go very fast(wouldn't want to take them out on the highway).
