  • Brakes swap

Ok, I've been around this forum for a long time and now I'm beginning to work on my Festiva seriously. I remember a lot of bragging about what could be done etc. What I want to know now is the exact possibility.

Aspire swap: works and had been done several times

Capri XR-2 swap: some people said it works but I don't think anyone ever tried it

323 GT: same thing as the XR-2

Escort GT: some people said the front disc would work but again I don't think anyone tried it. For the rear disc I think nobody even care about it but I will

Well I'm waiting to be corrected and to have more precise knowledge of the brake swaps available. Thanx for your time and hard work everyone.

PS maybe a post-it of this will slow down the number of questions about the brake swaps depending of the answers
Is that a Festiva that just passed me?!?!?!

I was at a yard the other day and looked at several Escort front discs. One was a GT, one a regular Gen 2, and one a ZX/2. None of them had the two large screw holes for screwing to the hub, if that makes any difference. I got the idea they wouldn't interchange. I could be wrong, as from what I understand those two screws aren't really needed.

the mounting screws are not needed they just help to keep the rotor in place that's it. you just have to make sure that the rotors and calipers bolt up to the hub its not really that hard at the junkyard.

Thanks Darpian, I was just eyeballing them. When I get some time I may investigate closer!
