    Hey guys,

I am replacing all 4 struts and spring's with lowering springs & gr-2's. My question is do i "need" to replace the front "strut mounting kit" as well.. Now, i know people suggest you should but what exactly is the criteria..

I mean the front mounting kit itself is costing me $78.18 per side, more than what i will be paying for the darn strut!! and that does not even include the boots..

should i or should i not?

If money is tight, I would say to inspect for dry rot and corrosion. If they appear serviceable, then I would say that they could be re-used until you can afford to replace them or want to down the road.
