  • Please help, Aspire swap question

I searched and search but could not find the thread i was looking for, anyways, a am doing the aspire front swap and I got my hub assembly's from a junk yard, they took them off and said they were from an aspire, but where the ball joint is different, instead of like the festiva and having a bolt that pinches the ball joint in place, these are solid, so it looks like the ball joint is supposed to have threads and a nut on it to stay in place. I was just wondering if I got the wrong hub assembly's and if so is there anything that I can do? Thanks

It sounds like you got wrong knuckles.

My Aspire knuckles had the same sort of clevis with a through-bolt thing as the Festiva has - uses the same threadless and taperless balljoints.

i would assume its the wrong ones, but we can be sure until we see pics

2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
