Wow, you lucked out on the rims! Just like you, I wanted a firmer ride and went with the KYB's with a Ground Control kit for a Civic/Del sol( not sure off hand which one) Spring lenght on both frt. and r.r. springs are 8". The spring rates: frt.-200/r.r.-150

I cut the KYB spring perch, so only enough for the GC collars to sit on(for more tire clearance and cleaner look)

Handling is perfect, ride is very firm but comfortable for the street. IMO, the dampning is matched for the spring rates. No bouncing at all.

The Aspire swaybar goes right in with the unusual bend on the top. It is a really tight fit up against the frt. trans mount. Had to also trim the lower radiator hose to shorten it up an inch or so for clearence. I used the Moog swaybar bushings(Hard blue) to Aspire spindles. I also used the Energy Suspension black graphite swaybar to frame bushings, had to shave those down as discribed in one of the treads in order to use the stock swaybar/frame mounts. The reason for using the stock mounts was that the ones that come with the bushings are slotted and weak and will move forward/aft, also possibly break. Just remembered it was, use the festy stock swaybar mount with the Aspire bushing clamp(bigger/ deeper)

If needed, I'll get more specifics on the bush#s, etc. and pics if needed, just let me know.

BTW, I can't take credit for any of this and must express my gratitude and appreciation to all those that graciously contributed how to's and wrte-ups for all of my current upgrades and those to come(1.8BP/G25MR) THANKS GUYS!

That is exactly what I am looking for!!! If you dont mind part numbers or links would be great! I feel like i could pick the back wheels up on hard braking and almost roll the festy on hard turns.. I think that your set up is what I am looking for.

P.S. I owe credit to safety guy, mattswabb, and muscle_car1 for help when I first had questions about the mini wheels

        ================================================== =========

These are only a few of the items/part#s I used when I did the Aspire swap. I also used the some modified Energy Suspension bushings(graphite) for the frame to lower Control arms. Bought those off of another member.

MOOG- #K9737 Hard blue(poly?) swaybar to lower control arm bushings

Sorry, can't get all the pic., etc. on one page, so please bare with me!

Energy Suspension- #95161G 1"(25mm) Greasable Swaybar to frame bushings/graphite(Aspire swaybar)

Energy Suspension- #95158G 7/8(22mm) same as above(Festiva swaybar)

I found both sizes at Checkers Auto @ approx. $18. (Hawaii) Probably way cheaper in the 48US. Amazon sales them for $14. Matter of fact, picked up all my other poly bushings(tie rod ends from Amazon @ $2-$3. a pr.

This is the link/post that I used to mod. the ES poly bushings:

I had to cut 1/4" thick metal stock into rectangular pieces(04 pieces) as spacers to fit between the bushing clamps mount, the u looking clamps. You drill a hole in each to go over the stud to sandwich between the frame plate and u clamp. The spacers are needed, it allows for firm clamping of the bushings. If you try to just torque down the u clamps without them, you'll smash/ deform the living daylights out of the bushings(ask me how I know!!!)

Energy Suspension-#913101G Blk Graphite Hyperflex Tierod Dust Boots

            Energy Suspension-#913103G same as above.

I ordered one of each, comes a pr. to a pack. I don't recall off hand, but one is better fitting for the Festiva tierod ends(02) and the other fits the lower control arm ball-joint better. I couldn't find them locally here, Amazon had the better price/ship deal for me.

BTW, these bushings are the round ones in the pic. Also the letter at the end of the ES #s is for the color material type(G-blk/graphite impreg, R-Red, etc.)
