  • Trying to get opinions on Weld in bars for the Rear Beam:

I am taking my rear beam off my Festiva this winter and want to torch out the Aspire 12mm rear solid bar and weld in something more substantial but am not sure about the thickness/diameter I should use. I was thinking about a 3/4" hollow tube but still not sold on the width. If anyone can post Pro's and Con's from their own setup please let me know. I am all ears... Also if you have a picture of your setup please let me know.. I am going to get rid of this body roll once and for all. -Kyle

well, you coould put in something huge, as big as the beam will fit. You might end up stiffening the rear end so much you'd get oversteer.

I am planning on doing the same thing, but first I need to get another car to drive while I'm doing the swap. I was going to play around with it to try and balance the car as much as possible.
