  • Aspire rack?

Hey I search and scoured the fourm for an answer and wanted to confirm with no question... does a full manual Aspire rack and pinion fit a manual Festiva?

This is going to go on a Festiva that has already had the engine + 5spd tranny + rear suspension + Escort outer tie rid ends + 4 wheel break swap from an Aspire.

Reason : Festiva Rack gave up the ghost on the inner tie-rod end for the drivers side. In my exploits to search for an answer I found its a PIA to just replace the inner tie-rod in-car.

I'm going to pull-a-part either Wednesday or Thursday and I need to know which car to pull from!

    Thanks!

IF you know how to change the inner tie rod AND have an inner tie rod socket it is much easier to change than the complete rack n pinion.

There are a few different designs of tools, here is a link to one style I use most of the time.

      Does anyone know the answer?

Does an Aspire Rack fit in a Festiva ? Remember, full conversion has been done.

It should. The aspire rack might use longer tie rods, but you should be able to adjust the toe enough to correct that.

Changing out tie-rods is a pain in the butt, doing the whole rack takes maybe 2 minutes longer.
