  • Camber kit?

    Has anyone used this before?

I just added 15's to expenstiva and even after a front end alingment the camber is unable to be adjusted anymore and the front tires have the tops of the tires canted a bit outward.

This looks like what I need, just curiosu if anyone has used before or if I can find a better product or better price.
    88 LX - Twin turbo, Intercooled :p
Recently re-chistened from "Cheapstiva" to "Expenstiva"

do you have your strut tops properly aligned? what camber numbers did you get?

I had read a post that said that the little rubber nipple doesn't indicate which orientation is "neg" camber. From what I've seen, the nipple towards the center of the car is the "neg" camber orientation. Its also important before you tighten the strut tops down, take a screwdriver and shove the top hat inwards. I was aligning my front end today and was able to get -.8 deg of camber on the passenger side but only had -.2 on the driver's side. I made sure, when cinching up the lower clevis bolts, to push in on the top of the rotor inwards to take up the slack. This guarantees that the neg camber is maxed at the lower clevis. Anyway, i loosened my driver's side strut top nuts and took the screwdriver and was able to shove the top hat in. Quite a bit actually. Measured the camber again and I got -.8 for the driver's side! Woohoo! Granted, this is at a current ride height of 13.5" measure center of hub to bottom of front fender. I'm going to lower the car a bit more, to 13" hub to fender. The lowering will add a smidgen more neg camber, though -.8 is a decent street camber level. I'm using just the stock bolts not my camber bolts. I wanted t see what i could get without them.

I also have the ingalls camber bolts that you have posted. They work fine. but you HAVE to install them properly. If you do not they will slip.

here's a good tutorial on how to properly install them:

Just ignore the statement about not using them on the upper hole position, as the Subaru comes with a stock camber bolt in the upper hole unlike the Festiva.
