  • suspension after the brake swap

hey everyone looking to find out some info that ive searched on and only found partial answers to what i need.

i am getting ready to do the aspire brake swap and am a little confused. i was planing on running the stainless lines once its on the car but are the festiva and aspire the same ones, fms sells them under two different numbers? as in length of the lines and thread pitch? (basically which ones should i buy?)

also for the suspension should i order the festiva or the aspire struts? i was thinking about doing the springs at first but if i can do the teins i will ( only available for the festiva from what i see). i was under the assumption that the aspire struts were mounted different somehow in the front.

anyone with any info please let me know i appreciate all the help

They are the same design and bolt up the same way, except Aspire struts will raise a Festiva. Just the rear though. The spring perch is about 1/4" inch higher. Good for tall tires.

where they bolt to the calipers is a little different, you could get away with the festiva lines but if your doing the aspire swap might as well get the correct lines. as far as the struts i imagine they would probably bolt up as well, but i dont know if you would want the aspire springs and struts. personally im using the festiva kyb GR2 infont with kia hubs, an aspire axle beam with mitsu mirage agx kyb shocks. and escort coil overs all around with custom spring weights

struts swap out for either car, the aspire struts will be valved a little heavier and the rear struts will allow more fitment options. if you can, find a pair of front festy springs and cut 1.5-2 coils out and stick them in the rear with the aspire struts. it makes the rear much more stable and allow it to handle adult passengers without rubbing/bottoming out.
