  • Aspire conversion

Been lookin' around, but I can't find any specifics on the Aspire swap. Everything's pretty much the same? Unbolt from the Aspire, bolt right on to the Festiva? Seems to be what everyone's saying, but I just thought I'd ask.

Basically, that's it. You need the front spindles, rotors, calipers, the whole rear axle beam (with brakes) and the e-brake cable. Then, just remove and replace.

Whenever this question pops up I always offer this how-to....I didn't write it, but it's what I used when I did mine. Great help!

You pretty much just have to go to the junkyard and dig in! I didn't know what half of the how-to was talking about because I had no idea what all the different brake components were called. I printed the how-to out, took it to the junkyard, and just started tearing an aspire apart!! It's actually pretty easy

You also need the tie-rods (you can use escort or 323 ones too) and the flex lines are slightly different, one the little hook part where it bolts to the caliper, but that can be bent to be made to work

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Finally finished up my front end including the aspire swap and my alignment is WAY off. Is that normal? I did the aspire swap, aspire sway bar, new axles, tie rod ends and new control arms.

Probably when you put the tie rods on that messed up the alignment, just a guess though
