Depends on what you want to accomplish.

175/50x13 will give you shorter than stock lightweight tires = better acceleration and very good cornering, and should stop very well too.
175/70x13 will give you taller than stock, heavier tires = better gas mileage and a more comfortable ride; cornering will be closer to stock but a little better probably; stopping distances will be longer due to more rotating mass than stock.

So your choice will have to bear all this in mind. Also factor in the performance of the specific tire tread design and composition (sport tires, all season, etc.), and the wear characteristics. Not all types of tires come in all sizes either.

just bought them! got a really good deal...
        clearance is perfect!
but the holes on rim have a smaller pattern than stock festy...
ordered 4 tires 175/50x13 for 327.12 shipped and installed... they will be here monday.
guessing i will have to do the aspire swap after all. or i found some 4x114.3 to 4x100 adapters that i could buy for cheaper than doing a full aspire swap...
computer is acting up, or i would post pics of them mocked up.

            4x108? that would suck!
leaving here in a few to pull a part, and gonna see if they will let me take one of the rims
to test fit on a aspire... hopefully it fits,
if not, what should i do?

Once you know the bolt pattern of the rims, if they're not the festiva or aspire pattern then get an adapter made up to make them work

                1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

                  Good luck finding a 4 x 108 adapter. It's not a very pattern.

well... since the cheapest adapters are $40 each.
and 4 175\50x13's mounted and balanced is $327.12
i think its become too much trouble to get them to work on my car!
i found some stock 13 inch steelies for 25 for 4! and if 175/50's will fit them?

then u can buy the capri rims for the price i gave for them.

if ur going to n.c. on the 3rd. then u can pick them up there?

if not.. then i wasted my money for them..lol
