  • How wide is too much?

    Is 7" too wide?

I'm looking into 195/45/15 +40 offset 7" width. Anyone run a wider / similar setup?
Mon arme a moi, c'est un stylo.

i used to run 7 inch wide 15" rims with 195/50's, just can't remember the offset though

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Are you sure? I thought we determined that they were 6.5

I think mine are only 6 inches wide, and I'm running 195/45 r15's

40 sounds pretty tucked-in... I guess I can roll the fenders & put some spacers if I need to...
Damkid, was that the star mags on the green car? what was the right heigth on that, kyb or stock?

A 7-inch wheel is actually closer to 8-inches overall (the 7-inches are measured inside the lips). With an offset of 40mm (or 1.57-inches), you would be pushing about 5.6-inches into the wheel well. Hope that helps.

Do you think these would be too wide? I placed the slicks from my other car next to the festy and it looked too funny. Do you think I can make them fit? I can probably slip them right over the stock wheels/tires lol

                Front: 245/30/18 8-inch wheel 50mm offset

                Rear: 305/30/18 11-inch wheel 45mm offset

Can you be a bit more specific? Where do they rub? And what's the wheel offset? Thanks!
