Will 13-inch diameter wheels, 6-inches wide, and with 0-offset fit the Festiva? Obviously a rear wheel drive offset. Back spacing (and front spacing for that matter) would be 3.5-inches. Please let me know if you have something similar. Thanks!

i say do the capri swap, that way you don't have to mess with the rear at all and you'll have larger brakes than the aspire!
NOTE: i'll give you the spindle to caliper measurement so that you can make sure the capri setup will fit before purchacing the rims.Trees aren't kind to me...

With zero offset, the tires will be moved out further. Will be out past the fenders quite a bit. Mine are +20 and they stick out. Another 20MM (to zero offset) is about 3/4 inch further, so i'm thinking that combo rim/tire will be
1 1/2+ inches out past fender.Dan

i have a set of 14x6 wheels at +4 offset and they poke out about and inch on the front and little bit less on the back since i hammered the crap out of the guards they fit nice but i run 155/55 tyres for the stretch look so fitment was easier... but definitely do it the mexican fitment looks good

How does a 6" wheel with (0) offset give you 3.5" backspacing? Wouldn't it be 3"?
I have 13x6 with 3.5" backspacing (2.5 Front) and it sticks out about 1.5" inches.
Running 175/55 Tires. No issues and no rubbing with stiff springs.Nothing says "triumph of enthusiasm over physics" like a Front Wheel Drive race car.

I thought about the flanges but when you order wheels if you ask for a 6" wheel with a 3.5" backspacing you will not get a wheel with (0) offset but one with .5". Manufacturers don't count the flanges in their measurements. In a real world application you have to take the flanges into account but in theory and esp. when ordering they are not considered.
My recommendation would be a 6" wheel with a 4" backspacing. OEM backspacing is right around 4" so by maintaining that you don't mess with the "Dave Point" (where the line following the steering axis intersects with the ground) therefore not inducing excessive torque steer. Though expect some anyway due to the couple extra inches of tire outside.Nothing says "triumph of enthusiasm over physics" like a Front Wheel Drive race car.

^ I've never ordered wheels and specified the backspacing. However, I just went to my garage and measured the backspacing on a set of 18x11 Porsche BBS alloy wheels with 45mm (1.77-in) offset. According to your calculations the backspacing should be 7.27-in (half the width or 5.5-in plus the offset or 1.77-in). The actual measured backspacing is 7.69-in which accounts for the flange width. This has been my experience with other wheels. Maybe steel wheels are different (because the flange is much thinner)?Oscar

ah yes, the "Dave Point" via David Coleman from the now defunked SportCompactCar mag. also called the scrub radius.Trees aren't kind to me...
