Aspire tires on the festy

I'm not finding the answer to my question so maybe I'm just missing it -
I'm thinking I remember reading that the stock aspire tires will fit under the festy after the swap with out rubbing - I know the speedo will be off but I need to confirm that the wheels will fit. I plan on getting smaller rubber on the tire to make the speedo correct but just dont have the funds yet due to buying a motor. Can someone confirm?

yes they will fit. before l put 16's on my festiva i ran chevy metro 13 in wheels w/175 70 13's & 155 80 13's. those tires are both 22.25 inches tall w/no rubbing at all. at 50 mph on you speedo you will be doin 55 mph. the taller tires will bring your rpm down 200 rpm which will help your highway mpg.

I ran Aspire alloys with 165/70-13 tires on Luxstiva until I got Nokians in 175/70-13. The larger Nokians rub a bit on bumps in the rear, but I cut the rear coils a bit too low, methinks.

They should work fine.
