Hey guys and gals, since this is my first post, allow me to do a quick intro of myself.
I live in Australia and I bought my 1997 Ford Festiva (Aspire in your language ) brand new.
She is barely modified because, as you are all aware, performance parts are thin on the ground. Besides the obligatory air filter pod, extractors, 2" exhaust (and a couple little engine tricks) she is pretty standard.
It has a 1.5L B5 SOHC engine which I believe you don't have. It is the same engine as the Mazda 121 "bubble" and mini wagon thingy (JDM Demio).
No suspension mods to date as she has done 140,000km but is still pretty tight.
Wheels and tyres are currently 15x6 from a Mk2 NB MX-5 (Miata) with 195/50 Bridgestone RE001 Adrenalin (I dont think you guys have this tyre there).
To cut a long story short, since I installed a custom front upper strut tower brace a couple months ago, I have been looking at improving the handling.
There is a company here called Selby's and they have been making suspension components for a very long time.
Some of you might recognise the name Whiteline. They are one and the same.
Here is a link to their website and if you type in part number SMR42, it has a listing for a rear anti-sway bar kit for the Festiva/121.
http://www.selbys.com.au/search_cc.php
The model and years of the cars listed is a little bit confusing, so I have sent them an email clarifying what cars SMR42 fits and to provide me with a photo of either the kit and/or of it fitted to a car.
If it fits my car, then I will be ordering one and will update this thread with photos and a review.
Cheers all
Andrew
