Outer tie rod end

Anyone have any idea why my festiva tie rod ends wont fit into my capri knuckle even though they are the same part between the two cars according to rockauto?


I figured I would ask before I tore the front end of my parts capri back apart...

??? really? you sure you don't have aspire or escort tierods on the car? (just a thought, as the festy tierods on Scrappy slid right in to the capri knuckles.)

You know the tie rod hole in the knuckle is tapered. Maybe you are trying to put it in from the wrong side. Whichever way you are trying it, rotate the tie rod 180 degrees and try it from the other side.

I'm trying from the top. I know they're festy parts cause I bought them. They're part of the front end kit from fms.

rockauto lied... the capri is bigger... just like the aspire...i used egt outers they were the cheapest i could find
