Hello everyone, i would like to make some questions and i would like to listen real answers... so if you don't know or don't have xperience on cutting springs please avoid to answer just because you read it somewhere or someone tell you.
I know that some would start flaming but I'm prepared for that 8)
1. Does anyone here really cut their car spring to lower it from 1" to 1.5" ?
2. How much did you cut on every side to get it lower ? (front and rear might require different cuts)
3. Please tell me how much did you lower and how crappy the handling was after this? (note that in my city i don't need to ride faster that 110 Km/h. also because my ride is a stock ride and i care about its life period and i haven't and won't make the B* swap, I'm more into car appearance than making fast turns or trying to bust a Skyline or something. Also i won't like to got lower than 1.5" so MAYBE the spring rate won't be so far from stock.
I'm using 15" on my car with 195/50-15 and they fit very well but I'm planning to change to 195/45-15 to lower it.
Come on, I know that more than one here have do it, or know someone that had. Not everyone that ride a Festi, 121 or a Pride have the money to buy suspension upgrades.
And please don't tell me that look into archives, i have been reading all of them and they never give real answers to help others, just create a lot of confusion. A lot of them talk about FMS springs and some said they lower too much, and need camber correction...
some link
thanks
