i have read through pages and pages of the pros and cons of cutting and not cutting of springs. ride height vs. spring rate. blah blah blah.
i bought my festiva to be driven 1000 miles each way on a road rally. pretty much all highway miles. usually ending up in very windy mountan passes.
this car is not going to be my daily driver and my budget will not allow any lowering kits. i am either going to leave it the way it is once i get my new rims/tires(week or 2 off) OR i am going to drop it via cutting the springs.
the theme i am doing this year is based on a hot rod 1969 roadrunner from hotwheels. so, i was thinking of doing a little rake. so dropping it a little less in the rear. i just finished getting the first bit of paint on it after the bodywork. so, imagine the paint a little better and then flames...
oh, stock rims/tires will be used. not going with anything but 12's.
i would love to see pics of your cut spring cars, how much you cut, what tool you used, and what size tire for reference.
thanks!!
