  • Aspire front swap... EGT parts?

I was adding up prices for replacement parts to do an aspire swap... and it became a big number.

Theres a 103k mile EGT at the junkyard that had NEW brakes (and suspension I think) front and rear. I know I could take the tierod ends, what else? I think I read (yes I searched) calipers. Would they work with the aspire rotors or do I need the EGT rotors too? It would be super sweet if I could just take all the stuff cause I'm serious it was all just replaced, even the axle nuts were new.

No, no idea. Its a nice car...

Maybe it broke a timing belt and someone told them it was interference?

It had a reman VAF, and a new o2 sensor as well.

All B-series are non-interference. The motor was CLEAN, but I already have one BP sitting around.

It was an auto car, by the way.

It's my understanding that the Escort GT front brakes (rotors, pads, and calipers) will bolt onto an Aspire-swapped Festiva with a minimum of 14" wheels unless you get really lucky like Sasquatch.

What about the escort knuckle and hub? I know the spline count is different but will it bolt up and not throw off camber too horribly?

All I really wanna do is use the egt rotor and caliper on the aspire knuckle, is it a bolton?

same bolt pattern...give it a whirl. Although It sounds like the caliper might not line up on the aspire knuckle. Lets try it at KRAP!

caliper lines up, but the rotor is too big.
