  • New Tires Free

Working for Michelin I get a $600 tire allowance for my first three years I believe. Then I would get $1275 allowance after five years. Anyways I hadnt tried to get any tires because Uniroyal, BF goodrich, or Michelin( all owned by the same company) didnt make any 12 inch tires and the fitment had to match your original tire size so I thought I was just out of luck. Last week I sent in the paperwork( vehicle registration included) to try and get some tire for my upcoming project Fantastiva. Today the neighbor called and said there were four tires on their porch with my name on them. Real surprised they sent them but happy to get them. Took about $350 from my allowance so I can still get some uniroyal 13s if they still make any or have some old stock. Going to have them mounted on the protege pro alloys tomorrow. Might have some rear strut perch issues in the rear. Ill see.

I have a new set of rear festiva struts I was going to install but I might take them back and exchange them for some aspire struts. Thanks a lot for the offer though !! big_ty2003 has the same set up on his car with no issues but his tires are 185/55/R14 so it might be close. Here is a pic of his car with the same wheels. Looks good I think !!

Might work if nothing else leave the new ones in the box and mount the wheels first to see if it rubs - put the axle under full travel conditions and rotate the wheels. I know my wheels barely clear the aspire but their 15"

After I get them mounted and balanced tomorrow Ill try them on frankenstiva. It has new struts and an aspire swap. If its close Ill drive around and try different situations to see what happens.
