  • lowered my rig today and having a issue with the spring seating

I went ahead and cut the springs today both front and rear were cut about 2 1/2". I took it on a test drive and for some reason the front springs came out of the bottom seat and are now rubbing the tires when i go around a turn. Has anyone else run into this situation? and if so did you just clap it in some way. But over all it does ride better in my opinion, it makes it stick to the road. Does anyone else have some low budget suspension upgrades like this?

    yep i've done it-

oh, and for your problem.... the weight of the vehicle should keep the spring bottom into the 'groove'...
so jack the car back up, and put the spring in where its supposed to go....
if you still have problems, weld a little piece on the strut to prevent the spring from popping out.. good luck.

Nice looking festy. Chopped springs do give it a better feel, did the same to mine
