  • Civic Wheels???

    :?: Hey everybody,
can anyone help me with a wheel/tire problem? my brother can get a hold of a set of wheels and tires from a 1993 civic (13" / w/ 175/70-13 tires which are almost new).

I cannot figure out if these wheels fit my 88 festiva! I did go to the page of wheel sizes, etc, but other places here in this forum contradict each other, so I really don't know!

I have read here that the festy wheels are 4x114 OR 4x100,,,, which is it, and will these wheels fit?

Many thanks for any help provided!!!
If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

I think only Prelude wheels have the right bolt pattern. Yours are 114.3 x 4
swap for Aspire suspension and they will be 4x100.

If you search you will find a huge list of fitting oem wheels

    Thanks

The bore (center hole) size needs to be large enough to fit a Festiva (or Aspire--with conversion) hub.

Ideally, the bore will match, eliminating the need for hubcentric rings or lots of cussing at anything over 40mph.

      YMMV,

The reason is say 114 OR 110 is because it is a universal wheel. So there are 8 holes, 4 of them are set up for 4x110 and the other 4 are set up for 4x114. The festiva bolt pattern is 4x114.3.

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

          Festiva wheels

I've been doing some research on Festiva wheels as I now own one. Driving 80+ miles a day in a Grand Marquis with gas at $3.00 a gallon is not good. I brought a red Festiva, which caused everyone to laugh at me until I laughed to the bank a few times. My wife is even starting to say "It is kinda cute".

The original Festiva came with 12x4 wheels with a lug pattern of 4x114.3mm (I prefer 4.5 inches), an offset of +40 with a center bore of 59.6mm. That center bore is a strange size with most other vehicles larger. The center bore is what gives our Festivas the shivers without center rings.

I can only find 6 other vehicles with a 59.6 center bore and a 4x4.5 lug pattern. They are all Ford and Mazda products.

          Mazda 626 83-87 14x?
          Mazda GLC 81-85 13x4.5
          Mazda MX6 88-91 14x5.5
          Mazda RX7 83-87 ?

          I hope all this helps.
