  • Geo Metro 12 Inch wheels on Festiva

I did a search in this thread with the above title and got no hits.

I bought two Geo Metro 12 Inch wheels with almost new tires yesterday.

I'd like to put them on the front.

Has anyone done this? Any problems with the offset? I tried one on the back at the sellers and it fit nicely. Wheel center hole a bit big but the bolts centered it OK.

I can have them remounted, but I'm a cheapskate and if they will run OK I'd just as soon do that.

    Thanks,

    Paul

Folks have done it before, no issues I am aware of. I'd personally not want to have wheels with a larger centerbore on my car (at least not without centering rings) especially with the fact that the Festiva uses lug bolts instead of studs with nuts. But the offset is identical I believe.
    No festiva for me ATM...

      They'll work
Edit: The white car in the first post here has 13" Metro wheels...

So your 12" should be fine too

another thing to add is the metro wheels have 12 x 1.25 lug bolts and festiva is 12 x 1.5. So the metro lug holes are slightly small than the festiva's...
vice versa a festiva wheel on a metro will only work with non-oem lug bolts.

ummm you do know that the 1.25 and 1.5 specs are the thread pitch and NOT the shank diameter.... they are the same size and the holes for the wheels should be too.

correction: i meant to say the metro has 10x 1.25 not 12 x 1.25... hence the smaller holes (festiva has 12x1.5)
