I just removed a set of rear beam rubber bushings where they attach to the body. What if I made a set of these out of aluminum with a steel sleeve inside. Just replace the rubber with aluminum. What would this do to the handling?

it'll locate the axle beam much more securely under the vehicle, but mechdj's right about the noise. Your gonna hear EVERYTHING in the roadway, especially since the back of these things is like a giant speaker enclosure! Aluminum is a bit extreme for street driving, especially if you want to drive it everyday. You'd be much better off, I think, with Delrin or urethane.Jim DeAngelis
