  • How rare is the power steering option on the Festiva?

I had a set-up on mine and sold it. How rare is it? I never see it in the junkyards.
    Current cars:

1993 Ford Festiva 5-Speed - Festiclese III - Cousin of the Banhammer - "The Jalopnik Car"
    1984 Toyota Cressida - 2JZGE Swap, Turbocharged.
2013 Mazda Mazda2 - Exhaust and Wheels (the daily)
    2002 Toyota Tundra - V6/Auto/2WD - The Tow Vehicle.

Pretty darn rare sir. You can check the list of options each year and model had (I think it's in the articles?)

They are fairly rare here in the US. They were only optional for the '90 L-Plus and LX and the '91 GL. But in Europe, it is common to see them on Kia Prides.

Its not really pointless, with larger stickier tires its easier to drive @ lower speeds & parking
It's a good thing you don't read the stickies, you might of learned something.Poverty produces creativity

My festy with 195/50-15s is easier to steer than it was with 175/70-13 or even 155-12.

The Kia Rio strut mounts make a ton of difference in steering effort.

There's a silver 91 GL sitting in my yard with power steering, and a red 91 GL sitting in my yard with factory cruise control

There is still one more complete power steering setup ready to be shipped from Germany. 100 Euros = $138. See the Kia parts thread.

I would like to see pictures of the Kia Rio strut mounts.
                    What is the difference?

Think about what you just said... Larger stickier tires... drive @ lower speeds... I don't know about ya'll but I stuck big stickies on my car so I could drive and corner at at higher speeds That said, with 205 tires it was a little tougher than with the 155s, but still not bad at all, due to the weight of the car.
                      No festiva for me ATM...
