  • aspire swao finished

i started and finished my aspire swap this weekend. after a few weeks of collecting parts, vacation, and some more parts collecting i had everything i needed to get things going.

i cut all the springs 2.5 inches, and used escort 7 spoke wheels painted them a graphite grey with rustoleum wheel paint, and then cleared them. wrapped em in a set of falken ziex 902 (185-60-14) it all fits, no rubbing, and im very pleased.

now if i can only get my camera to load pics......

the tires cleared the stock rear strut perch? just curious because i'm thinking of getting gr2's, and i'm running the same size you are with tires.

yeah, i can barely jam a fingertip in between, lol, but that's good cuz i have like a 5xl glove size hand. there's definitely no chance it'll rub the rear

its 2 and a half inches, measuring across the coils from the lower end of spring. basically 2 coils

What is the width of the Escort wheels? I'm guessing 5.5". With my 14x6 Estrellas, I had to use spacers or go to the Aspire rear strut.

                        Looks great BTW.

Escort 7 spokes are 14x5. Gorgeous wheels period, and those look awesome with the gunmetal finish! You need to get the the little center caps for them though, they complete the look with the little tiny ford oval that makes them look like a wicked stock option. I love things that go on cars that make them look great without making them look "modded" and you sir have done a good job with that. Like that fact that it appears it could have rolled off the showroom floor twenty years ago looking like that
