Someone else had posted here about modding another car's bar. It may have been a Tercel or some DSM model. I can't recall.

The only strut bars for Rios I've seen are for the newer ones from 2006 on, which are sister designs with the Hyundai Accent. The front suspension has probably been changed a lot.
I don't think there are any front strut bars for '01 and '02 Rios. If you find one, please post, because it would probably be a very close fit!
Also note that in late '02, the Rio went to a different strut mount with three bolts instead of two. That could probably be swapped with an older two bolt Rio mount, or the three bolt mount could be retrofitted.
Does anyone know what the advantage would be of the '03 to '05 Rio three bolt front mount, assuming it is substantially the same as the early two bolt Rio mount? The only thing I can think of is that it would spread any torsional forces around the strut tower top a bit more evenly. Could it be a worthwhile upgrade besides allowing newer 2005 front strut mounts to be used for our cars? I have no idea. It could be worth discussing.
