  • Disount Tire has 12" tires in stock...

When I had my 13" tires mounted, Discount Tire stated they have 12" tires in stock for the Festiva and believe there is some car coming out with 12" tires since they will continue to stock our 12" tires.

That's good news. I know that the GEM and at least one other electric "neighborhood car" ran 12" wheels. I see them at Ohio State often. I think they run any of the three common sizes (145, 155 or 165/70).

I was in Wal Mart the other day and asked if they had any 12s in stock. Nope, but the guy implied he could order them. I didn't ask price.

I remember a guy at a car show drove up in an old Morris Mini sporting some golf cart tires.

I just can't help but think that those guys have it worse & just give up after calling around..."Hey, I'm calling to see if you have any 10" tires in stock....No, that's the rim diameter....Yes, 10" rim diameter.....No, I'm positive that's not the rim width...hello?....hello?"

I just got a set off of tire rack(same company I think) for ~$220

I got the smaller 145 size. It'll be nice to have tires without bulges and actually have TREAD!

You got tread, I'm on the cords!
Well, I swapped them out when I found a strip of cord showing through!
I thought I got my money's worth out of them.

Not that they'll for on the OE wheels, but you can get a set of DOT cart tires in something like 215/35R12 for about $350/set.

That would be almost the exact same overall diameter as my 175/50R13's.........and would look like this.

                        Thanks!

They were on the 323 wheels when I bought them last summer. I got them from a member here, Arnie, who moved to Germany. They're Sumitomo HTR200's with about half tread left. I love the look and the way they handle with just FMS springs & stock Fest front swaybar. BUT, I scrape the front tow hooks on the concrete almost every time I drive through a dip or pull into a driveway with even a slight incline. I'll probably need new tires by next spring and I've been looking for the same size but I can't find them anywhere. Tire Rack doesn't even list them anymore. It's a common size in Europe for classic Minis, Cortinas and such. I did find some Chinese made ones on the internet a couple months ago but didn't have the money. I could never go to 175/70 or 175/80 13's after having these....I love the look & handling too much.

Brian, onlinetires sells sumitomo in your size for $48 each plus shipping and tireseasy has an off name brand and conti tires for $72 and $86 each and the shipping from them is way cheaper.
