  • Slicks, rear coilovers

Threw my slicks on the other day. Did 0-60 in 4.0 seconds according to my phone (not that accurate lol)

Also threw together coilovers to replace the overshortened stock front springs
The springs are summit brand 10" 250lb. I still need new struts. I probably shoulda went with an 8" spring too. I will probably do mirage agx struts. Hopefully that will bring it down a bit when I take the perch off.

    13.79 @ 100, 2.2 60' on 8 psi and 155R12's

Like I said,0-60 in 4 seconds according to the phone. I'd say Its prolly more like 5 but that's still impossible on my street tires.

Have you made it to a drag strip with that thing yet?

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

the rear struts on 2nd gen eclipses are 1.8" shorter than ours and will accept coilover bodies with more room to spare (spring perch is smaller).

^^ is that what you are running? I'm kinda thinking of just using a cut spring setup over coilovers. I can deal with skateboard cars, Ive had them off and on my whole life.

This has been a pain for some time now, I want coil overs, and I realize from reading here that the stock strut will not damp the coil overs. I want to run 250/300 at the front and 200/250 at the back, the big problem is that I can't get the aspire strut (or any other aspire part) in Jamaica so I was wondering if the persons that have a coil over set up and are not using aspire struts could assist in stating the struts they are currently using or know of that could work. My stock struts are now shot and i would really like to upgrade. Thanks
