  • Remove locking clips on parking brake?

I snapped my e-brake cable and I'm puzzled as to how you remove the U-shaped retaining clips that hold the cable onto the bracket on the rear axle. These clips seem to be holding everything together under there - the brake lines have a few, too.

Any ideas on removal? Everything else is easy.

    Regards,

    Tim.

How about a pic of the clip? If it's the one I'm thinking of, they should just come off with a flathead screwdriver and a hammer.

Yeah he's gotta be talking about the square shaped clips, just stick a flathead screwdriver in there and pry up, they should pop off. -Kyle

I've had them so rusted on that I had to pull them off with vise grips. You should be able to get new ones at the parts store.
