  • Wheels won't turn freely.

I had my car up on jackstands this afternoon to replace the e-brake, which snapped, and observed that the rear wheels didn't spin freely (lots of drag) when I turned them. This was before the e-brake was connected, so it wasn't that. When I first bought the car, the e-brake actuators were frozen to the drum, but the mechanic was able to loosen them up. Could it be that they're seizing up again? What should I do if this is the case? Pull another set of drums and calipres from a junker?

    Regards,

sounds like rear shoes are out of adjustment. probably need to pull the adjusters off and wirewheel them. Uncle Fester suffered from the same issue after sitting under that oak tree for 4 years......
